Gerrie Stolz is a classified Early Childhood Educator III with years of experience in a variety of roles in the field of early childhood education. She started her career working with infants and preschoolers, was an instructor in the Early Childhood Education Program at Red River College and spent they majority of her career as a Quality Enhancement Specialist for the Manitoba Early Learning and Child care program. Gerrie has been involved in developing a variety of resources focused on early learning curriculum. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Developmental Studies with an Advanced Diploma in Studies of Special Rights. Gerrie is a trained facilitator in Circle of Security® and a member of the Manitoba Reggio Inspired Collation of Educators.
Virtual Presentation: Circle of Security® – Connecting with Children
Circle of Security® is a supportive innovative intervention program designed to improve developmental pathways of children and parents. This session will Introduce you to Circle of Security® and how you can use it in your practice with children. Discussion will include questions to reflect on your own beliefs, values and practices. Secure attachments are key to a child’s growth and development. Knowing current research on brain development and development of the whole child is part of developing a strong attachment.
You will leave this session with strategies and confidence to move forward in reflecting on your daily interactions with children. Plus, gain insight to what positive connection looks like for you and your child.
